CBD Is Not A Culprit
There is a fundamental difference that separates CBD and ordinary marijuana, and that is the intoxicating agent called THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). CBD on the other hand, has no such properties that entice appetite-triggering. It is neither a psychoactive agent, that is, it doesn’t cause intoxication. CBD’s effects are limited to only the therapeutic sense. CBD does quite the opposite and interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which regulates leptin. Leptin is the hunger hormone that signals that you are full; so rather than tempting you to eat, CBD reduces your appetite and is perfect for weight loss or if you are planning on getting ready for summer. CBD does not have any interaction with ghrelin, and you will not get the ‘sudden pleasure and heightened taste buds’ as a result.
If we were to compare THC and CBD use with regards to appetite inducement, it would be safe to say that THC causes all-out hunger pangs, while CBD’s effects are subtle and may or may not give you an inclination to food depending on the dose you take. Therefore, you can safely use CBD for weight loss or if you are wishing to put a cork on your appetite.
